On Children – Khalil Gibran

While surfing I came through this beautiful and indeed true poem by writer Khalil Gibran. One thing which stuck me most is that this poem supports my idea of uncomplicated motherhood. Where there is lot of stuff in market on parenting, stressing new age parents to over perform their parental duty this poem simply says that you are bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth, it says that though they are with you they belong not to you.Very true I feel that we are only source creator for thy almighty creator, our child is very own child of God himself and we should perform our duty like treasurer, though keeping a strong eye on thy’s treasure, not claiming ownership on it.
